Weather and Climate
Spring Weather: In the spring temperatures are around the 60's and 70's but the nights drop to about 0 degrees fahrenheit.This means you should bring warm sleeping bags and other clothes. Usually there is still a few snowfalls occurring in the spring too.
Summer Weather: Temperatures are around the 70's and 80's but the nights still get a little chilly. Rain and thunderstorms are also common in summer especially in the July and August months.
Fall Weather: Temperatures are around 40's and 60's in the day. At night they can fall into the teens and sometimes drop below 10 degrees fahrenheit.
Winter Weather: Temperatures stay around 0 degrees fahrenheit and they sometimes get around 10 degrees fahrenheit. Snowfalls are very common as Yellowstone gets about 150 inches of snowfall per year on average. The lowest temperature ever in Yellowstone was -66 degrees fahrenheit!

Yellowstone National Park is in the Taiga biome. This biome has many conerfrous trees and is very wet and cold. The Taiga biome is also sometimes called an Alpine Biome

Clothes to bring
- Bring hats and mittens for the cold evenings ,but also bring shorts and t-shirts for the warmer daytime.
- Sweatshirts and wind breakers are helpful for the nighttime bonfires.
- Bring hats and or bandannas for the heat. Sunscreen also is recommended.
- Jogging clothes are good to bring on runs or hikes to prevent your daily clothes from getting sweaty.
- Make sure to bring a swimsuit for swimming in Yellowstone Lake or hot springs.
