In 1872 Ulysses S. Grant made Yellowstone the first National Park in the United States.
Yellowstone National Park is in three different states, Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana and cover 3472 square miles.
There are about three million people that visit Yellowstone each year. Many people come to see the geysers here. There are about 500 geysers here!
Another thing that tourists like to see is the native american culture here. There are 26 american indian tribes that live in the Yellowstone area or are from the Yellowstone area.
Yellowstone National Park is in three different states! Yellowstone is 96% in Wyoming, 3% in Montana, and 1% in Idaho. The park is so large that if the states Rhode Island and Delaware were combined Yellowstone would still be bigger!
